La casa sin tiempo

Flicking the pages of an Argentinean interior design magazine I found the name for this blog. The article whose title “La casa sin tiempo” displayed a wooden house where the time did not seem to pass. The couple who lived there spent their time with books, music, local food, and forgotten recipes. The furniture had its memory and the objects their stories.

This house has never left my thoughts and through my imagination it has become a place submerged by light and friends who have time to spare around a table sharing the dinner. A house with a soul and identity where I would like to move in – I knew it, the essence of the place would be perfect for me.

Then, one day I found this house in a trip to south on a dusty roadside, in the vineyard region. I recognized that “casa sin tiempo”.

We stop to photograph it and after each shot the house looked even more interesting. If we moved the focus away, it increased opposing to the clear cloudless sky; if we approximated it, it showed the dark patina on the wood creased by the sun and the rain. In the surroundings there were rocky fences, thrilling flowers, gardens with red fruits and remnants of garlic drying in the sun. A little further, there were the vineyards – everywhere.
